Studio B Gallery is located in the heart of the burgeoning 12South Neighborhood District in Nashville, TN. Nashville’s commitment to the arts is evident in our continued growth as a city in the way of arts from the renovated historic Children’s Theatre to the more recent building of the Schermerhorn Symphony Hall.
Studio B Gallery and the many galleries opening around town are a continuation of this growth. Our goal at Studio B Gallery is to provide art selections from established artists, both locally and abroad, for modern interiors and the eclectic art collector. It is important to our gallery to present intelligent, timeless art that informs the atmosphere of a space. The selections are chosen for their artistic merit and sensibility. Our choices in art are driven by their quality of color, shape, mark, gesture, and the indescribable feeling that each work conjures. It is our great hope that our choices are as enjoyed by you as they are by us.
Our first solo exhibition featuring the art of Moses Hoskins reflects the spirit and aim of our gallery. Driven by color, and his use of open canvas space and line, Moses’ work has earned him several prestigious grants and solo exhibitions at prominent galleries in New York City and elsewhere. Moses’ work is purely nonobjective abstraction yet, as one writer has captured, it retains a quality of comfort, airiness, and optimism that make it enjoyable to ponder and sit with for hours. |
